Privacy policy

This page explains what data is processed when you visit EasyTip. The short answer: very little. The calculators run entirely in your browser, and what you enter is not sent to us and is not stored.

The controller for data processing on this website is its operator. Full details are in the imprint.

Hosting and server logs

The website is hosted by Vercel Inc. When you open a page, the server processes technical data it needs: your IP address, the date and time of the request, the address requested, the amount of data sent, and your browser and operating system. This data is needed to deliver the page and to protect the site against attacks. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, the legitimate interest in running the site securely.

Vercel may also process data in the United States. The details, including the basis for that transfer, are in the Vercel privacy policy.

What you enter in the calculators

Every calculation happens in your browser. The numbers, times and dates you enter are not sent to any server, not stored and not analysed.

Cookies and your choice

Your choice in the cookie banner and, if you turn it on, dark mode are kept in your browser’s local storage, so you are not asked again on every visit. Other cookies are only set if you accept Google Analytics. No advertising is shown at the moment. Fonts and all other files load from this site’s own server.

Google Analytics

With your consent we use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics shows us which calculators are used and how visitors reach the site. It sets cookies and sends usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser to Google. What you enter in the calculators is not sent.

Google Analytics only loads after you accept in the cookie banner. The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw it at any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer. Google Analytics cookies are kept for up to two years.

Google may also process data in the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The details are in Google’s privacy policy.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right of access to your data, to rectification, erasure and restriction of processing, to data portability and to object to processing. You can also complain to a data protection authority, such as the ICO in the United Kingdom. For any request, use the contact details in the imprint.
